My Morning Prayers

Opening Prayer of Honor and Thanksgiving

+ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Adoration and Thanksgiving Unto the King of ages, the immortal, invisible, and only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the innumerable blessing which I have received from your loving kindness, especially for having preserved me this night.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

O God, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul... I adore you. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, and console me. Tell me what I should do... give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and accept all that You permit to happen to me.

Please God, Holy Spirit, let me only know Your will.

Morning Offering

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

Say one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory be.

Prayer to Your Guardian Angel

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here. Ever this day is at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide.

Pray with me this day, oh guardian angel, for guidance throughout the day, for protection from evil, and to always live in the Divine Will of God.

Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of St. Michael

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Guardian Angel Prayer

O most Faithful companion, appointed by God to be my guide and protector, and who art ever at my side, what thanks can I offer thee for thy faithfulness and love, and for all the benefits which thou hast conferred upon me?

Thou watches over me in my sleep; thou consolest me when I am sad; thou liftest me up when I fall; thou avertest the dangers that threaten me; thou preparest me for the future; thou withdrawest me from evil and excitest me to good; thou exhortest me to penance when I yield to temptation and reconcilest me to my offended God.

Long since should I have been cast into hell, unless by thy prayers thou hadst averted from me the anger of God. Leave me not, then, I entreat thee; but still, comfort me in adversity, restrain me in prosperity, defend me in danger, assist me in temptations, lest at any time I fall victim to them.

Offer to God my prayers and groaning, and all my religious exercises, and obtain for me the great gift of final perseverance, and the grace to die in the friendship of my Creator, and so to enter into life everlasting.

According to Psalm 91: 10-12, God has commanded His angels to guard and protect us from evil so that no harm may come upon us. The doctrine of angels has been celebrated throughout Church tradition, with a special feast honoring the Holy Guardian Angels on October 2nd. These heavenly spirits guide us toward good deeds and shield us from harm.

Our Lord Himself spoke of the existence of Guardian Angels in the Gospel, warning us not to lead astray "these little ones" whose angels always behold the face of God.

As Christians, we believe in the dogma of Guardian Angels and should show them the utmost respect, knowing they are always present at our side, watching over us in every moment. We should strive to avoid any actions that might offend these holy beings who have been entrusted with the ministry of safeguarding all of God's creatures. Speaking with your guardian angel daily is highly recommended to express thankfulness and guidance in your spiritual journey. Continually pray the "Blood of Jesus Prayer*" before you begin your prayers.
